Fiesta alloys at risk of theft

POLICE are warning Ford Fiesta owners to secure their alloy wheels and be vigilant after a spate of thefts.

Officers issued the warning after four incidents of alloy wheel thefts on the Knights Meadow estate.

Community support officer, Craig Ricardo said the targeted cars were all left on bricks and the thieves work quietly in the early hours. “Clearly the thieves are interested in alloy wheels for this particular model,” he said.

“We want owners to be vigilant and if anyone is seen around vehicles, including on private drives police should be alerted.”

Advice is to park close to your home, ensure you have at least two locking wheel nuts on each alloy and park vehicles close together if possible. All incidents or suspicions should be reported.
