Arrest over child safety

A BALSALL Common man was arrested and bailed after police entered his home with a warrant relating to online child safety issues on Wednesday.

Officers from West Midlands Police entered a home on Station Road on Wednesday with a warrant.

A statement from detective Inspector Kay Wallace read: “On Wednesday 30 January officers from West Midlands Police’s child online safeguarding team executed a warrant on Station Road, Balsall Common.

“A man was arrested and subsequently bailed as part of this ongoing investigation.

“We appreciated that arrests of this nature can cause concern and we invite anyone who has any concerns about this, or any other matter, to contact the local policing team by calling 101.”
