A ten-year-old writer was presented with book tokens after his heartwarming tale of a WW1 soldier and his dog won a national writing competition.

Crackley Hall pupil Sebastian Dibb told a tale of friendship when the pair became separated during a shell attack in the trenches.

He was inspired by his dogs and the World War centenary commemorations.
