A young woman in Warwick is distressed after having been shown an explicit image by a man late at night.
Police are hoping to trace three people who may have witnessed the incident, which occured in Swan Street on Wednesday (April 9) at around 11.10pm.
The 19-year-old woman was walking along the street when the man stopped her and walked with her along High Street, Theatre Street, Friars Street and Hampton Road. Towards the end of the journey, he showed her an explicit image of male genitalia on his mobile phone.
The woman declined the man’s invitation to walk a different route with him and left him near the Foresters Arms pub in Crompton Street.
She had not been touched or injured but was very distressed by the encounter.
The man is described as a white, in his 40s, of medium build, 6ft tall and with brown wavy hair. He was wearing jeans and a dark zip-up jacket.
During their short journey, the woman and man passed another man in his 20s, who was walking alone, and a couple which included a woman with blonde hair.
Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from those three people or anyone else who has information which would help them with their enquiries.
