Soroptimists raised £1,400 for Wateraid by running canal boat trips, a garden party and even a theatre night.

The sum was collected over 12 months, with a final fundraiser of a sell out show at the Priory Theatre where a raffle and prizes from the club raised another £150.

Georgie Larsen-Archer, president of Kenilworth and District Soroptimists, said: “This is the final fundraising event in my year as president.

“I am a staunch supporter of Wateraid and have been for many years, and was very keen to do something significant for them this year.

“It is a wonderful charity and I am so pleased that the efforts of my Soroptimist friends have resulted in such a successful fund

raising campaign.”
