A woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Warwick Road.
The woman was hit by a Jeep-style vehicle which was coming out of the Station Road junction around 9.20am on Friday.
She sustained injuries to her head but remained conscious after the incident when she was helped by residents who called an ambulance and police.
The woman, in her 50s, was described by passers-by as “bouncing off the bonnet” and into the road where she lay for some time being treated by first aiders.
She was taken to Warwick Hospital as a precautionary measure, but her injuries not thought to be critical.
First aiders, police and paramedics were on the scene for around half an hour and the road was closed in both directions while she was treated and taken to hospital.
The road is now reopen for all traffic.
