Following previous reports in the Weekly News, WCC has said construction on site will begin this year and should be completed by early 2017.

In Spring 2017, Network Rail will be carrying out infrastructure works such as signalling upgrades and relaying the track through Kenilworth.

Rolling stock to use on the line should become available by August 2017, and timetables are being remodelled in preparation for the start of services, which will head between Leamington and Coventry every hour.
