South Winds, a 1960s five-bedroom house in Cryfield Grange Road, was designed by Coventry-born architect Robert Harvey between 1965 and 1966 and was given Grade-II listed status by Historic England for its ‘considerable attention to detail’.

Before it was built, Harvey’s client, R M Wilson, wanted ‘a house which would be noticed.’ The final design that Harvey came up with was described as ‘striking’ by Historic England.

Harvey built over 30 houses in Warwickshire, and his designs were partly inspired by the world-famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
