Specsavers joins ranks of Foodbank

Please find a photo of some of our recent collection, with myself and the volunteers who gave their time this morning to help get it all weighed and sorted. From left to right they are: Jenny Filby, alan Stephenson, Eamonn McCusker, Eve Stephenson, Virginia Hartley, Marian Stamp. A total of 743 kg was collected. Our thanks go to those who donated, the volunteers who manned the collection, and of course to Tesco Downham Market for facilitating the collection. Please can you put this acknowledgement into the copy along with the photograph.

Many thanks
Jenny Filby
Co-ordinator

Opticians are opening eyes to helping others as they get on board with Foodbank.

Specsavers in The Square is now a drop-off location for donations of non-perishable foods.

Donations to the charity are handed to town families each week. Ambreena Ahsan Bhatti, store director, hopes it will make a difference to those in need.
