Slideshow: Whitnash Fun Day 2016

Whitnash hosted another successful Fun Day event at the weekend.

The annual 5k fun run had the largest field yet with 65 runners taking part and was won by 18-year-old Dean Mawby in 16 minutes and 40 seconds.

Kelly Edwards, 38, was the first lady to finish in 18 minutes and 47 seconds.

The Mayor of Whitnash Cllr Simon Button and his consort presented the prizes for those successful in the run.

The Trolly Carnival, a regualr feature of the event, had the theme of space this year with participants dressing as astronauts and their favourite sci-fi characters.

Amongst the displays were a display of vintage motorcycles and a classic Triumph Herald.

Other events included an inter-schools football competition and a display by Warwick Dog Club.

The Whitnash Charitable Trust, Cats Protection and the Brunswick Hub were among those to have stalls.

The event, held for the community by the community, was sponsored and supported by various buisineses from in and around the town.
