A driver was lucky to escape unharmed after winds brought a 10 feet tall tree fell crashing onto his car windscreen on Sunday.
Wayne Kerry was on his way back through Balsall Common to his Kenilworth home when the large rotten branch came down onto his roof in the high winds.
Luckily, he escaped completely unharmed by the shock despite having to take his Ford Focus for big repairs.
“All of a sudden I heard this huge bang and there was a tree across my windscreen,” he told the KWN.
“The weather was so bad, there was no one about but luckily I was not hurt.
“It was just an act of God I suppose. My roof was dented as was all the metal down the side of the car.
“It was a good job the windscreen didn’t smash or it could have been a lot worse, I would have been seriously hurt.”
