Taylor, described as “a danger to children”, admitted sexually assaulting a child, meeting a boy under the age of 16 following a period of child grooming and 11 counts of making indecent images of a child.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years and made the subject of a 10 year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

The court heard that offences took place between 2013 and 2014 when he was made subject to a Warwickshire Police investigation and later arrested.

PC Mark Finch from the force said: “Taylor deliberately targeted and befriended his teenage victim, he groomed him purely for his own gratification.

“He is clearly a danger to children, and we are committed to tracking down offenders like him.

“The victim has shown exceptional bravery and should be commended for his courage in coming forward.

“This case proves that we will take all reports of abuse seriously, no matter when it took place, and we will thoroughly investigate all reports.”

Officers from Warwickshire Police are asking for anyone who sees signs of a child being sexually exploited to contact them immediately.
