Fundraising women will do their bit for sick children this Christmas after being inspired by a charity founder.
Kenilworth Soroptimists have this year pledged all the profits from their annual Christmas fair to the charity Friends of Sick Children in Malawi.
The group made the heartfelt pledge after hearing charity founder Gordon Cowey MBE talk about the programme’s invaluable work.
The charity has links with Birmingham Children’s Hospital which sends doctors and nurses to Malawi to help teach staff in centres there about treatments and aid work.
The UK based charity also supports a specialist unit that treats women and girls who are victims of abuse.
The Soroptimists’ Christmas Fair will be held at St Francis of Assisi Church on November 23 and all are welcome to attend.
