A determined postman will get on his bike and cycle on the canal to London in memory of his late sister-in-law.

Peter Warren will travel 146 miles of the Grand Union Canal from Birmingam in just three days to bring in funds for Myton Hospice.

The 47-year-old said before Diane Warren passed away in December, the charity did so much it feels only right to give something back.

Though Peter has always wanted a barge holiday, he said the idea of cycling seemed even better and he is determined to make the journey when he sets off in September.

He has so far raised over £1,000 of his target and hopes to keep funds coming in.
