Sweet treats were in store at St Nicholas School after a trio of eager bakers got busy to bring in charity funds.

Year 6 pupils Eleanor, Jasmine and Daisy decided they wanted to raise some money for Cancer Research UK.

And with a bit of help from mums, the 11-year-olds baked and decorated approximately 450 cakes and biscuits which they sold off to pupils and staff at break time on Friday. The group raised a total of £208 for the charity and have been praised by staff and parents for their effort and good work.
