Much-loved Radford Semele footballer Sunny Dhillon was again remembered in the best possible way last Saturday.

Hundreds of people, including most of the village, turned out to support the Sunny Dhillon Memorial Fund Fun Day which started with a fun run.

In the tradition of the event Radford Semele, the team for whom Sunny was a striker, played for the Sunny Dhillon Memorial Cup with the under-30s team beating the over-30s to lift the trophy.

Other attractions included baking, flower arranging and photography competitions, a craft and gift fair and fairground rides.

Sunny Dhillon, 25, died unexpectedly in February 2008.

The event raised about £1,300 for good causes in the village.
