Thanks were extended to the long-running chair of Kenilworth’s community forum after she stepped down following six years of work.

Town councillor, Pauline Edwards has chaired the regular town meetings since they began in 2008.

At Monday’s meeting, she was thanked for years of tireless service to the forum after choosing to let someone new take the reigns and look after her health and council duties.

Cllr Norman Vincett said: “Mrs Edwards has chaired these meetings for a long time, and I hear they are among the busiest in the district, so she really has done a great deal.”

The forum addresses crime, disorder and current issues at the request of residents.

Mrs Edwards said she had “thoroughly enjoyed” her time and thanked everyone for their kind words.
