This year’s Christmas tree competition at St Nicholas Church has raised over £1,000 for Waverley Day Centre.
Organisers Maggie, Sue and Heather have thanked everyone who came out to help, offer refreshments and vote for their favourite festive feature at the church over the weekend.
And when the votes were counted, winners were announced as the bell ringers in the adult category, Thorns in the schools category, and 4th Kenilworth Brownies for the children’s group.
Donations were collected for each vote, and the hard-working church group said they can now hand over the impressive sum of money to help keep vital services at the day centre up and running.
They said: “We hope everyone enjoyed the weekend as much as we did. It was great fun and brought lots of people into the church.”
