Christmas cheer rang out across Abbey Fields on Saturday as the annual charity concert around the castle brought residents out into the night.

The Christmas carol sing-along by the Kenilworth Lions started with a Christmas medley by Clinton’s Steel Pan Academy.

Crowds also enjoyed performances by St Augustine’s School choir, City of Coventry Salvation Army Band and solos by Lucia Silvestro.

The penultimate carol was left out as bad weather picked up, but things ended on Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. And Lions president Henry Woodgate sent out a message of goodwill to all the town.

The evening was described as ‘enchanting’ by the charity organisers who thanked residents for the ongoing support.
