Farmers are urged to respond to the HS2 consultation as the deadline looms for them to have their say and defend their businesses.

Around 30 farmers attended the NFU meeting in Stoneleigh to discuss the hybrid bill and the environmental statement for the London to Birmingham route - both of which are open for consultation until January 24.

Members were told of the “key opportunity” to shape the build which could destroy some farms completely.
