Irish dancers have jigged their way into the top at the latest round of competitions.
The group of four dancing-mad pupils from Crackley Hall were successful in the Midlands’ Championships in Coventry. Taking the Midlands crown was seven-year-old Molly McGrory who performed the light jig, the hop jig and the reel to finish in first place on the day.
Classmates Lara Convey and Julia Loftus finished 13th and 21st respectively. And Molly’s older sister Grace finished fourth in her hotly contested under 10 age group, gaining her automatic qualification for the World Irish Dance championships.
Headteacher, Rob Duigan praised the girls and said the school was “thrilled” to hear of their success on the day.
