Double celebrations have rung out for a school worker who donated 100 pints of blood before her 60th birthday.
Anne Chrimes celebrated her 60th birthday in style on January 3 by also hitting 100 blood donations just before the special day.
Anne, who works at Castle Sixth Form, celebrated by inviting 24 close friends out for lunch to mark the extra special occasion.
One friend even marked the unusual occasion with a joke balloon donation bag to thanks Anne for her efforts.
Anne is an only child and also cares for her 98-year-old mother, Hilda.
One friend who shared her celebration said: “Anne is such a special person, very kind, generous and always puts others before herself.”
