Abbey Fields has come to life with a display of crocuses to mark the beginning of spring.

More colourful flowers have been planted along the top of the fields and Abbey Hill to show off the space and encourage walkers and residents out and about.

Planting sessions are held by the Friends of Abbey Fields each year. And volunteers at the group have so far planted 6,000 large Dutch golden yellow crocuses, 500 muscari and 500 narcissi around the park.
