Kenilworth’s Abbey End Post Office will close for two weeks next month, as part of a modernisation plan.
Bosses said the office will have a new ‘open-plan’ look.
It will also be open for an extra hour and a half on Saturdays.
The refurbishment will start on Monday March 10 and it will open again at 1pm on Monday March 24.
Post office area manager Mark Jacobs said: “We understand how important the Post Office is to residents around Kenilworth and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
“This modernisation is part of a three-year investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office, that will see around half of the Post Office network converting to new-style branches and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.
“As part of Post Office plans to modernise the network and extend opening, Kenilworth Post Office will have three serving positions.
“These will be a mix of one traditional screened and one open plan serving positions and a post office serving point at the retail counter where many Post Office transactions can be made throughout shop opening hours.
“The same wide range of Post Office services will continue to be on offer.”
