Excellent start to church organ appeal

On behalf of our vicar the Reverend Canon Richard Awre and the whole congregation we wish to express our thanks to the Kenilworth Weekly News for publicising our Organ Restoration Gift Day Launch on Sunday June 3.

The organ is a custom made hand-crafted instrument dating back to 1870, and will be carefully restored to its fine original condition by craftsmen of the 21st century. We also thank members of the local community of Kenilworth and surrounding areas for their generous support to this worthy cause. Many donations have been received from people who do not regularly attend St Nicholas, including members of other churches. Thanks to the KWN and your generosity we have made an excellent start on our goal to raise £115,000.00 to complete this project. - Mervyn Kimberley, chairman of the Organ Restoration Appeal.
