Castle Mere would be boost for town

I SEE the Liberal Democrats on the district council are opposed to the flooding of the Mere at Kenilworth Castle.

I realise in these days of austerity it would seem to be a waste of money but it will be a long time before this plan comes to fruition and properly approached there could well be grants available and maybe the council would not have to foot the whole cost.

In my view the proposal is first rate as it will restore the castle to its historic setting and may well encourage more visitors to the town, thus benefiting all of us. - Geoff Raine, Gloster Drive, Kenilworth.
