Foamy fundraisers are needed as the world’s ‘bubbliest’ race comes to Hatton, all to raise much-needed funds for children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
The Bubble Rush at Hatton Country World on Saturday (June 25) will see hundreds of ‘bubblers’ (otherwise known as participants) run, jog or walk around a 5km course through reams of colourful frothy bubbles.
The fun-filled family event is being held to raise vital funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice and its care for life limited and life threatened children and support for their families across the region.
Sarah Bowron, fundraising manager at Acorns urged people to avoid disappointment and sign-up quickly for the popular event.
She said: “Whatever your ability, young or old, this event is one not to be missed and guaranteed to put a smile on your face! The sight of hundreds of people running through a field of multi-coloured bubbles will be spectacular and we can’t wait for the day.”
The event will feature merchandise and accessory stalls and entry includes a free Bubble Rush t-shirt and finish line medal. Before and after the event, all participants will be given discounted entry to Hatton Country World as a thank you for taking part.
Sarah continued: “It’ll be fantastic day out for all our ‘bubblers’ but there’s a serious side too. Acorns relies on fundraising, including events like this to continue providing its vital care so we’re hoping lots of people sign-up and join us.”
Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care to children and young people and support for the family. In the past year Acorns has cared for over 40 children and more than 50 families from Warwickshire, including those who are bereaved.
Entry costs £20 for adults and £10 for children, with special rates for families of four and five and larger groups.
