One of the UK’s leading healthcare organisations has rated the trust that runs Warwick Hospital as among the top 40 in the country for the fifth year running.
The Top 40 Hospital award, run by healthcare intelligence provider CHKS, is based on 22 key performance indicators of clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
The award, presented to South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) for the fifth year in a row, also recognises positive feedback the trust has received this year. This includes featuring in the top 20 per cent of all trusts in the country in a national staff survey and positive findings published by the Care Quality Commission following an unannounced visit to Warwick Hospital’s maternity department in February.
The trust’s medical director Dr Charles Ashton said: “I am very proud that the trust has yet again been recognised in the Top 40 Hospitals list for 2014. Featuring in the shortlist for the past five years is a great achievement, demonstrating the trust’s constant commitment to providing patients with high quality, compassionate care.
“I would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work and dedication. Whilst this is extremely positive, we are continually looking at ways to improve our services to ensure we maintain these high standards of patient care.”
