Half term activities in south Warwickshire this half term

Children in south Warwickshire will have plenty of activities to keep them occupied during half term.

To celebrate the re-opening of the British Motor Museum (formerly Heritage Motor Centre) in Gaydon, children can take part in a family story trail and LEGO® workshop. For details, visit www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/home

Kenilworth Castle is running a Knights and Princesses Academy (visit www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/kenilworth-castle) and at Warwick Castle, the Mighty Trebuchet returns today (February 13) and there are new tours opening this week (visit www.warwick-castle.com).

Throughout the week there are swimming courses, football, badmington, table tennis and multi-sports sessions at Abbey Fields in Kenilworth (01926 855478), Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre in Leamington (01926 882083) and St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre in Warwick (01926 495353).

At Leamington Art Gallery, the free half term events are: Valentine’s Day Card Craft (Feb 13), Young Curators Club (Feb 16), Half Term Art Club (Feb 18) and International Mother Language Day (Feb 20).

Motionhouse Dance company is running junior dance classes at its studio at Spencer Yard, Leamington (01926 887052).

Children with additional needs can take part in the following activities run by ILEAP: swim and games at Abbey Fields (Feb 15), a trip to Vue Cinema and arts and crafts at Leamington Art Gallery (Feb 16), bowling at Ten Pin Bowling in Leamington (Feb 19) and Big Chill Youth Club at Kenilworth Youth Centre (Feb 20).
