Food and drinks galore will flood into Kenilworth over the next two weeks with the launch of this summer’s Foodie Fortnight.

The annual food and drink celebration will kick start in Abbey End on Friday May 2 and continue with offers and deals until May 16.

Running from 4-9pm, the bank holiday street food event will be complete with live
entertainment and tasters of moth-watering nibbles.

The two-week long event will also see the return of the popular pudding tasters and on May 10, a fine food market will run in Talisman Square.

An ‘Eat Street’ will be set up on Wednesdays through the event to offer an alternative lunch, and restaurants, pubs and bars will offer discounts and special offers for customers to showcase what they have to offer.

Moved from its previous spot in October, the food lovers celebration is all about bringing people in to Kenilworth to boost business and promote the town as the place to eat and drink all year round.

Organised by the Town Centre Partnership, chair Sally Carrick described this year’s programme as being bigger and better than ever before with more business on board.

She said: “Foodie Fortnight is back for the third year, but this time in May. The event will showcase the amazing variety of food and drink venues we have in our thriving town.

“Last year visitor numbers during the event increased by 50 per cent, let’s see if we can top that this time around.”

As well as markets and food tasting events, free parking will be available in Abbey End and Square West car parks all day on May 10.

Booklets containing all this year’s offers are now available at Kenilworth Library or from various shops and businesses.

It also includes details of Kenilworth’s Foodbank and how donations can be made to help provide emergency food for families in crisis across the town. Visit to find out more or contact organisers of the festival.
