CCTV images released after assault at Leamington station

British Transport Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an assault at Leamington station on Sunday May 24.

Sgt Jeff Nelson, of BTP Coventry, said: “The victim, a 25-year-old man from Southam, had enjoyed a night out in Leamington and was returning to the station with a friend when they were chased by two men.

“The victim stopped running when he reached the station’s taxi rank but the two men caught up and assaulted the victim, causing bruising to his head and his knee.

“Both attackers fled the scene before police arrived.”

Officers have been carrying out several lines of enquiry, including viewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.

Sgt Nelson added: “I am now in a position to release two CCTV images, showing two men I am keen to identify and speak to as I believe they will have information vital to this enquiry.

“If you know either man’s identity, or current whereabouts, please contact BTP straight away.”
