Business is booming into a brighter future for town centre traders as membership to the Chamber of Trade more than doubles in just 12 months.

The Chamber has been described by members as one of the fastest growing groups across the area after seeing original 52 registered groups grow to 120 this year.

And it is all in hope of breathing new life into the town centre as well as forging partnerships and working with councils for the good of town centre trade and independent business.

Richard Hales, who took over as chair of the committee in 2013 said it was his goal to see 100 members by this year.

And the dream was realised when the organisation welcomed it’s 100th member just months ago.

But Mr Hales said he now wants to get 150 on the books before his three year term is over in hope of forging even stronger links for members.

“The aim is to get to 150 members by end of next year and there are a lot we can still get on board,” he said.

“This growth means we have seen more business being passed between Kenilworth companies as the chamber lends itself to more networking and business opportunities. We have also raised a number of issues including improving business communication between the town council and businesses.

“We are trying to get everyone in the town and working on it.”

The chamber will hold its next event at the castle on September 25 and interested members can find out more at kenilworthchamber.co.uk
