Pupils from Balsall Common Primary School are ‘all safe’ after a terrorist incident occurred while they visited the Houses of Parliament on a school trip today (Wednesday March 22).

All the Year Six pupils who went on the trip are currently on a coach on their way home, a spokesman at the school confirmed.

The Houses of Parliament were previously in lockdown after a man reportedly wielding a knife was said to have been shot by armed officers.

Four people are reported to have died during the incident.
