Residents in Kenilworth faced further disruptions to waste collections and on roads due to snow this week.
Warwick District Council suspended its refuse and recycling service on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman said people should continue to put out their grey sacks and bins and they will be collected as soon as possible.

Green bins and recycling boxes and bags should be kept out on the next scheduled collection day.

On Tuesday night Warwickshire County Council spread 130 tonnes of grit on the county's roads, but drivers were still being advised not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

County councillor Alan Cockburn, responsible for environmental issues, said: "Warwickshire's gritting crews have been working through the night to try and keep the primary road network clear.

"We are monitoring weather conditions in close liaison with the Met Office."

Coun Cockburn said the council had enough grit supplies to deal with this week's snowfall and it was expecting a further delivery of salt.

He added: "I would also like to remind people of the hard work going on behind the scenes to try and keep Warwickshire's roads clear.

"We have gritter drivers heading out several times a day, often in the early hours of the morning.

"Hopefully everyone will continue to heed the advice of the Met Office and emergency services and only travel if they have to, and if they do have to, to take care."
