These are the first mock-up photos of what the three bridge options for Coventry Road would look like in situ.
The designs form part of the plans for the Sustrans Connect2 Scheme and all three are taken from the same point looking towards Kenilworth.

A public exhibition next month will display these images for residents to view and vote on and there will also be views of the three options from two other vantage points - one looking towards Coventry and one looking from the Greenway path itself, together with detailed design drawings.

Cllr John Whitehouse, chairman of the local Connect2 Steering Group, said: “The essential structure of all three bridges is the same - i.e. a simple single arch bridge.

“Option A is just this, while Options B and C add an additional non-structural arch to make more of a feature of the bridge. With Option B, the additional arch is directly over the bridge itself, while with Option C the additional arch leans out at an angle to one side of the bridge.

“Option C is difficult to show on this particular view, but will be clearly demonstrated by the view from the Greenway which will be on show at the public exhibition.”

The public exhibition will be held at the library - on the lower ground floor at the rear of the building - from Thursday, October 1 from 12pm to 7pm; Friday, October 2 from 12pm to 5pm and Saturday, October 3 from 9am to 1pm.

The consultation period lasts until Friday, October 16. Feedback forms will be available at the exhibition, the information desk in the library, or will be downloadable from the website www.connect2kenilworth.org.uk.
