Communication on the proposed plans for the Sustrans Connect2 scheme is to be increased.
Kenilworth town councillors have called for more information from regular Connect2 meetings and have also suggested a public meeting be organised to raise any concerns.
Coun Felicity Bunker has suggested that a presentation be organised, which wil
l take the form of a public meeting.
Councillors have also asked for a copy of the minutes from every Connect2 meeting held for the area's scheme.
They also want to see more publicity given to proposals, particularly on the bridge, and that another briefing be requested from Warwickshire County Council and partners regarding the progress of the programme.
The calls come after many councillors and residents raised concerns over the plans and the lack of consultation in the community.
Coun Pat Cain sits on the steering committee for Connect2 as a council representative.
She said that a meeting in September had included reference to the need for "enhanced communication and actions arising included letters to residents, updating the website and various other items."
She added: "Communication aspects were again highlighted in the November meeting, which had also examined various issues relating to the bridge. But the point had not been reached where they felt ready to consult with external bodies as design concepts had yet to be formulated and a designer appointed."
Coun Norman Vincett, who is behind the scheme but is keen for more involvement in the plans, said: "I will raise the concerns of members with the district and county councils at the lack of information and detail of the Connect2 programme and secondly arrange another briefing from the county council with urgency."
In December 2007, the public voted to decide who should win £50 million of lottery money in the People's Millions. There were four schemes to vote for and the winner, Connect2 received the whole £50 million.
Two schemes in Warwickshire have received a share of the winnings with work on the Kenilworth scheme already under way.
The project aims to create an off-road route for walkers and cyclists linking the town centre with the greenway and Warwick University.
Following the calls a special Connect2 briefing is to be held for members of the town council on February 12.
