Limbo dancing and fruity rum punch were enjoyed by members of Berkswell and Balsall Common's Tennis Club at a Calypso-themed fundraising evening.
More than 80 people attended the event at the Lant Community Centre in Meeting House Lane and helped to raise £250 for the club.

Entertainment was provided by the Caribbean Regals Steel Band and party-goers tucked into barbecue jerk chicken, rice and peas, sweet potato and squash curry and ackee and saltfish, as well as exotic fresh fruit and homemade coconut cake.

Event co-ordinator Alan Dick said: "The evening was tremendous fun with everyone getting into the true calypso carnival spirit by wearing a mix of colourful outfits. It may have been raining outside but inside it was 'hot, hot, hot'!

"I'd like to thank all the organisers, helpers and people who donated raffle prizes."

The club's next event will be a summer ball on July 3. Visit www.bbctc. co.uk or call 07802 406658.
