Kenilworth Carnival Committee is on the hunt for more support for this year's event.
The small group of volunteers, devoted to keeping the annual town carnival running, want to attract more support from local businesses this year, either by sponsorship of the day or by donating raffle prizes.

This year’s carnival takes place on Ju
ly 5.

Sharon Sword of the committee said: “I would like to use the carnival to help promote the town, one way we could do this is to put together a raffle prizes showing what the town has to offer.”

The committee is keen to offer a number of prizes at this year’s event.

They would include a VIP day in the town, starting with breakfast, followed by a visit to Kenilworth Castle, for which a family ticket has been donated, beauty treatments, lunch, shopping vouchers for independent shops, a game of golf, cocktails, dinner and a night in a hotel.

She also hopes the prize could include a driver for the day.

She added: “Hopefully we could get the press to be involved to record the day. If we do not get enough contributions we could break it up into smaller prizes.

“If any companies do not have anything to offer as a raffle prize, they could offer to sponsor us to help with the costs of the day.

“We will thank all businesses that donate a prize or sponsor the day in the carnival programme.”

Any business that wishes to contribute to the carnival should contact Sharon Sword, c/o 11 Queens Road, Kenilworth, CV8 1 JQ, 024 76 574881 (daytime) or 01926 779982 (evenings), email S.M.Sword@warwick.ac.uk.
