Old school days in Whitnash

Does anyone recognise themselves in these old photographs of Whitnash schools?

The photos have been submitted by Ray West, a friend of the late Jean Field, who had them in her collection. One picture was captioned by Jean Field “Opening of Whitnash new school 1963”. Does anyone remember the event?

The other picture is of staff at Whitnash Endowed School in the early 1950s. They are, back row from left: Miss Wells (later Mrs Markham), Mrs Ingram and Mrs Maycock; front row: Mrs Nichols, Mrs Jones (headmistress) and Mrs Lambert.
