Mollie (Kathy Deeth) tries to break up a fight between Dr Richard Whittington - aka Dick Whittington (Jim Suther) - and Mortimer Moneybags (Joseph Hughes) in the Cubbington Players' production of Dick Whittington.

JUST when you thought the pantomime season was over, the Cubbington Players say, ‘Oh no it isn’t!’

The amateur dramatics group are continuing with their annual tradition of staging their panto a little later than others and will present their take on Dick Whittington from tomorrow (Friday).

Dr Richard Whittington and his faithful assistant Jess have the most extraordinary adventure travelling through time meeting strange and wonderful characters - and to undo the badness which is being done by the wicked and devious Mortimer Moneybags.

Will the good doctor and his assistant save the day? Does the doctor find love or will the number of Doctor Doctor jokes break the record books?

The good doctor and Jess are inviting audiences to join them on their adventure of a lifetime.

Performances take place at Cubbington village hall in Broadway, Cubbington, tomorrow at 7.30pm, on Saturday and on Sunday at 2.30pm, Friday February 1 at 7.30pm and Saturday February 2 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets, which cost £6 (concessions £4.50), are available from Lifestyle Express in Queen Street, Ricky’s convenience store in Cubbington Road and Bargain Booze in Rugby Road. People can also book tickets by calling 422640 or emailing tickets@cubbingtonplayers.com
