“STUNNING” effects, stunts and slapstick are being promised to audiences at this year’s pantomime offering at the Bridge House Theatre in Warwick.

Tongue-in-cheek theatre company Oddsocks are bringing their production of Robin Hood to the venue in Myton Road from tonight (Wednesday) until Saturday.

The company, which are known for their off-the-wall takes on Shakespeare plays, say the heart-warming and adventurous legend we all know will still have all the expected elements - daring deeds, an evil villain who needs teaching a lesson and a love story “to set the pulse racing” - and all the well-known characters - Robin, Marion, Little John, Friar Tuck and the dastardly devious Sheriff of Nottingham - will be there.

But Frances Newbury of Oddsocks said: “Expect the unexpected with visually stunning effects, stunts, audience participation and a little slapstick thrown in for good measure.

“Bring the whole family and be prepared for laughter, fantastic live music from BBC Radio 2 award winner Lucy Ward, lots of action and audience participation too.”

The show is directed and written by Oddsocks Director Andy Barrow who also stars as the evil Sheriff of Nottingham.

Performances take place at 7.30pm each evening. Tickets cost between £14 and £17 (£10 students and family tickets available). Call 776438 or go online.
