My son-in-law and I go out to breakfast on a Sunday morning.
Like your food inspectors we tend to grade them on price, content, cleanliness etc.

We have been to Hilltop, Whales, Asda, Tea for Two, Airport Cafe, Chatzes, Lizzie's, Clarendon Hotel, Blooms, Sainsbury's, Cafe Rouge, Oscars and the Blue Boar.

By far the best is the Blue Boar at Temple Grafton. It opens at 7am. The annoying thing to us is when they say they open at, for example, 8am but don't.

We will try Alfonso's next week. - Tom Pollock, by email.
