When will the people in this nanny state accept that each person is responsible for their actions and what they eat, drink and spend?
We are all treated as though we are irresponsible.
A father, addicted to nicotine, complains that sweets that look like cigarettes should be banned by law.
Pensioners are denied a living pension but are given various allowances by the nanny state because they cannot budget for themselves.
We, as a nation, are becoming so used to blaming something or somebody for the self-inflicted ills which beset us that it steals individuality and drive. - W S Baker, Moorhill Road, Whitnash.
