Monitor speed - before there's another accident

I was very sorry to read the report of 2 drivers badly injured in a head-on collision on Milverton Lane last Tuesday.
However, this does highlight the dangers on this road. During the summer months I visit my allotment on Milverton Lane on my way home from work each evening, and the other drivers I encounter use this road as a race track.

As they speed towards you, their cars appear to bounce uncontrolably on the road, with little heed for other drivers, walkers and joggers. Heavy goods vehicles also continue to use this shortcut despite discouraging signs and road humps at the Leamington end.

Surely I am not alone in feeling it's time for the police to monitor speed and safety on this road before a fatality occurs. - Gail Lawson, Cubbington
