I AM astounded to hear that a licence for alcoholic beverages has been granted to the cafe in St Nicholas' park.
There is a large risk of broken glass and alcohol-fuelled behaviour, which would be quite inappropriate for a child-oriented environment.

There are already problems of this kind that need to be addressed, not aggravated. And after a beer or two, where are the customers supposed to relieve themselves, bearing in mind the lack of toilet facilities in the building?

I really don't begrudge the drinkers their fun, but there are plenty of pubs in the vicinity already.

Let's keep the park a safe, happy place for our kids to grow up. - Jo Beckett, Rich Close, Warwick.
