RISING stars at a Kenilworth school raced ahead to win the team title at the Central Warwickshire Primary School Cross Country Championships.
Park Hill Primary took the honours in the girls' race, Emily coming first and Sophie second to win the school 27 points. Jacob narrowly missed winning the boys' race and came in second, closely behind Billy of St Lawrence Primary. However, through a team effort, the boys still managed to clock up an impressive 45 points in the event at Newbold Comyn in Leamington. The first 18 runners, in both races, were due to represent Central Warwickshire in the county finals at Princethorpe College, Rugby.
