Fitness enthusiasts can get in shape with a new 'boot camp' in Leamington.
Visitors to Victoria Park in the early evening should not be surprised to see people lunging, sprinting and jumping in earnest – they are the latest recruits to Gavin Walsh's fitness programme.

The health instructor says people should not expect a military-style experience, rather "an enjoyable alternative to the gym".

The camps last for four weeks with training three times a week and cater for up to 15 people at any one time.

Mr Walsh added: "By only allowing a certain amount of people into our camps we are able to form a team bond.

"Everyone trains together, working towards their goals and if one person doesn't show then everyone wants to know where that person is."

Camp sessions are 6.30am, 7.30am or 6pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Visit www.thebootcamp.co.uk
