Village plans to set up food bank

A KINETON church is setting up a food bank to help those in need from rural areas across south Warwickshire.

Family doctors, health visitors, housing associations and other relevant organisations will provide those deemed to require the service with vouchers to spend at the food bank, which will be based at St Peter’s church in the village.

Volunteers at the food bank will be able to chat to people and refer them to other agencies that may be able to help resolve longer-term issues.

St Peter’s is holding a meeting in January, at which people will be able to learn more about how the project works and how they can get involved.

Anyone interested in attending or obtaining further details should call Barry Jackson on 640248 or email fossefoodbank@gmail.com
