School near Leamington creates charity song
Radford Semele Primary School headteacher Paul Wylie and pupils record their single.
THE joys of Christmas are expressed in a song created by Radford Semele Primary School pupils and their headteacher that will be sold for charity.
Headteacher Paul Wylie, who wrote the original version of the track which features on his album, invited pupils from each year group to produce their own take on the song and to design the packaging for the single.
It was then recorded at Avocet Studios in Leamington and is now available to buy from pupils, who will donate the proceeds to Cancer Research UK.
Mr Wylie, who performs at pubs and clubs in his spare time and always donates the proceeds to Cancer Research, said: “Out of five in my family, I’m the only one never to have had the disease and three are no longer with us, so I thought this would be a good way to do something for the cause.”
Any businesses or individuals interested in sponsoring the single should call the school on 426940.
