Sausages help reach dreams

Kenilworth’s very own ‘Good Life’ farmer has secured a lifetime dream to sell his sausages in a pub just metres away.

Mark Pettitt rears free range and rare Tamworth pigs on land near the castle and now supplies sausages to The Cross as part of a drive to promote local produce.

Mark, who also works in IT, set up Kenilworth Free Range two years ago after a lifetime wanting to get into farming.

He has now fulfilled his dream and joined the push for Kenilworth grown foods

Jonny Mills, Cross chef, explained that they source local produce wherever possible. “You can’t get much more local than pork reared just a few hundred yards away,” he said.
